We are hiring a part-time Chat Operator to help our retail, web, and customer service teams by supporting online visitors through chat and email. In this live chat role, you should enjoy the product and use your knowledge to help, inform, and guide customers. You are a strong sales driver who aims to exceed targets.
Chat operators answer live chat support or sales questions on a company website. The work is done online, usually from home.
What you will be doing: You will take a short training program to learn the job and the business you support. Then, each day, you will log in to the website’s live chat feature and reply to customer questions. Some will be support-related and some sales-related. You will get documents with answers to common questions, plus full support from our team.
Contract length: No fixed term
Rate: $35 per hour
Skills and Specifications:
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to find product information with the tools provided.
Ability to research information independently online.
Outstanding spelling, grammar, and communication skills are essential!
Must have a device that can access social media and website chat functions (phone, tablet, or laptop).
Must be able to work independently.
Able to closely follow provided steps and instructions.
Have at least 10 hours of availability each week.
Reliable internet connection.
Hours per week: 10 + hours per week
Location: Remote online work (United States preferred).
